Emma Raducanu concludes this year's campaign and will keep coach for 2026.

Raducanu reached the third round in three of the four Grand Slam events this year.

The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from her final two events this season as a result of a health issue she has been fighting in recent days.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to rest and recuperate ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training will include coach Francisco Roig, as the pair will keep partnering for the upcoming season.

She required blood pressure checks while playing the initial match versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She again required medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.

She was also playing far from freely in the deciding set against Zhu due to the lower back problem that has troubled her at times this year.

Such performances signaled a promising season, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points prior to falling to Jessica Pegula in the third round in last month's Beijing event.

Raducanu won 28 matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her standout performance was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament prior to a loss in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She worked with trainer Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in late this year.

Raducanu told that a three-day test period alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati during August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
